ADMT Director / Teacher
ADMT Director / Teacher Maria Redecop

I’m Maria Redecop, co-owner, director, and teacher at the Academy of Deep Muscle Therapy. I am a certified Deep Muscle Therapist and have been in practice for over 25 years.

As the primary techniques instructor for the Academy, I bring a diverse breadth of knowledge and skill from my many years of experience in this field. As the Academy director, I handle student registration, the application processes, and all the educational textbook printing and binding. In class, I manage all the classes and am the skills instructor, teaching and fostering the development of proper techniques in our students.

I discovered the Academy of Deep Muscle Therapy when I was looking for something to improve my knowledge as I was attempting find a solution for my husband’s sciatic nerve pain that had caused him walk with a limp. After graduating from the ADMT in 2001, I focused on growing my practice and helping those I could with the skills and knowledge I had obtained.

I am also trained in and teach the Billings Ovulation Method to help both men and women take control over their reproductive health in a more natural way. I have taught this method to many in the local communities since 2004.

In 2020, I became the director of the Academy Of Deep Muscle Therapy. I am honored and grateful to build on the Academy’s foundation through hands-on teaching and personal guidance. My goal is to help students develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills to become thoughtful, capable therapists, while honouring the faith and dedication that shaped the Academy.

Abigail Hiebert
Abigail Hiebert Teaching Assistant

Hi, I’m Abigail, an assistant teacher at the Academy of Deep Muscle Therapy (ADMT). I facilitate comprehension of course readings and break down lesson terminology for students and assist with the skills portion of the course acting as another set of hands, eyes and ears.

Outside of the academy, I work as an Educational Assistant at a local Christian school, where I enjoy supporting students as they learn and grow. My interest in DMT began at a young age, watching my mom, Maria Redecop, work with her clients. Having experienced firsthand how DMT has helped me through growing pains, muscle tension, and headaches, I developed a desire to help others experience similar relief.

I graduated the ADMT course in 2021 and have since returned as an assistant at the ADMT for most of the years following. I’m passionate about supporting students in mastering deep muscle therapy techniques and helping them grow in confidence and skill. I hope to help prepare capable therapists who can use their knowledge and skills to help others and bless their communities.

Hi, my name is Jessica Peters. I facilitate and run classes for the Academy of Deep Muscle Therapy (ADMT) in Alberta. I assist in curriculum revisions, working closely with the other instructors to keep material up to date and relevant. I am the in-person teacher for all courses associated with ADMT in Alberta.

Hi, my name is Chelsea. I am the anatomy and physiology teacher for the Academy of Deep Muscle Therapy (ADMT). I help with curriculum edits and updates as needed to maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism within our program. I hold a diploma in paramedicine and am a certified advanced emergency medical care assistant. Additionally, I am a certified functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner and am board certified with the American association of drugless practitioners. Besides teaching for the Academy, I run my own Functional Health practice called Paradigm Health with my husband.

Along with practicing deep muscle therapy, we work with multiple supplement and vitamin companies as well as a functional lab platform that offers a wide range of functional lab tests. We have regularly attended health conferences over the years to continue to learn and grow to help better our clients and help them achieve their health goals. As one of the ADMT teachers, I hope to bring practical knowledge and clinical experience that can be used in your practice everyday and help you explain and guide your future clients as well as yourself to better health.

Joel Elliott Facilitator / Assistant

Hi, my name is Joel. I am the anatomy and physiology assistant instructor for the Academy of Deep Muscle Therapy (ADMT). I work mostly behind the scenes updating and editing new and upcoming medical information as well as aid in teaching when needed.

Before becoming certified in deep muscle therapy I pursued a career in emergency medicine. I hold a diploma in paramedicine and am a certified advanced emergency medical care assistant as well as a naturopathy practitioner. I discovered deep muscle therapy through my wife who had received treatment. After being convinced to pursue and graduate from the ADMT in 2022, I was then convinced further by my wife to help with teaching and working on the curriculum.

Outside the ADMT, I work closely with my wife in running our own deep muscle therapy and functional health practice. We are always working on expanding our knowledge base and learning new ways to help and support our clients. My goal is to help and support the school of deep muscle therapy’s knowledge base by doing my best to make the material as easy to understand and comprehend as possible, giving you the tools and knowledge to feel confident in your own deep muscle therapy practice as graduated Deep Muscle Therapists.
